Data of the Optical Mesosphere Thermosphere Imagers
(OMTIs) 2004-2005

OB0055

The Optical Mesosphere Thermosphere Imagers (OMTIs) were developed at the Solar-Terrestrial Environment Laboratory, Nagoya University, in order to investigate the dynamics of the upper atmosphere through nocturnal airglow emissions. The data are obtained at Shigaraki, Rikubetsu, Sata (Japan), Darwin (Australia), Kototabang (Indonesia), Resolute Bay, and Athabasca (Canada). In this DVD, plots are available for two-dimensional airglow images and airglow intensity. Wind vectors obtained by a Fabry-Perot interferometer at Shigaraki through 557.7nm and 630nm airglow are also available.

* For data use, insert the DVD to a PC with Windows 95/ 98/ 2000/XP, and click omti.html.

* These plots are also available on the web site at http://stdb2.stelab.nagoya-u.ac.jp/omti/index.html.

* Please contact the Principal Investigators, K. Shiokawa or T. Ogawa before using these data for any publications and/or presentations.

* Please note that the data are just for browsing purpose and are not fully calibrated.

Acknowledgements:

The observations of OMTI are mainly carried out by the Division II members (K. Shiokawa, Y. Otsuka, and T. Ogawa) of the Solar-Terrestrial Environment Laboratory (STELAB), Nagoya University. We thank Y. Katoh, M. Satoh, T. Katoh, K. Hidaka, M. Sera, Y. Ikegami, and K. Hanano of the Solar-Terrestrial Environment Laboratory, Nagoya University, for their helpful support of the development and operation of the instruments. These instruments were calibrated using facilities at the National Institute of Polar Research, Japan. We thank the following collaborators at each station.
