Cosmic-Ray Neutron Data in 1953-2006

OB0061

This CD-ROM includes world-wide cosmic-ray neutron observations (one-hour fluxes) in 1953-2006, held by the World Data Center for Cosmic Rays*. Data are provided by text files in two formats; 80-bytes cardformat and 4096-byte longformat. The data structure of each format is shown in this booklet. Yearly plots for each stations in compressed PS files are also included in this CD-ROM. Yearly number of datasets is given also in this booklet. More detailed information on the database can be obtained from the home page of the WDC for Cosmic Rays: http://www.env.sci.ibaraki.ac.jp/database/html/WDCCR/english.html

Inquiry about the database should be addressed to; Takashi Watanabe, director of WDC for Cosmic Rays (wdccr[AT]env.sci.ibaraki.ac.jp).

Acknowledgments:
Support for the production of this CAWSES Space Weather International Collaborative Research (CAWSES SPACE-W) Database in Japan was provided by the Grant-in-Aid for Publication of Scientific Research Results, the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI) from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).

*The WDC for Cosmic Rays has been operated by Solar-Terrestrial Environment Laboratory, Nagoya University, through the collaboration with the College of Sciences, Ibaraki University.

16-17 I2 Month

22-80 12I5 Hourly data (99999: no data)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The size of a one-year data set is fixed to 60264 bytes. Each month has data for 31 days, and days with no data are filled by 99999.
So that, the number of days in a yearly data set is 31 x 12 = 372 days.
