S-RAMP(STEP Results, Analysis and Modeling Phase) Database in Japan Simulation/Modeling (SRAMPDB-J-SM0002) Version 1.0 November, 1998 3-Dimensional MHD Simulation of Solar Wind - Magnetosphere Interaction VRML (Virtual Realty Modeling Language) 1. VRML (Virtual Realty Modeling Language) files This CD-R contains the VRML (Virtual Realty Modeling Language) files produced from a computer simulation of the interaction between the solar wind and the Earth's magnetosphere, when the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) changed to the north-south direction. These VRML files can be seen using a VRML viewer such as the Cosmo Player. Several other examples of VRML files and FORTRAN programs which produce VRML files are also included in the CD-R. We can easily create a large number of VRML files using these FORTRAN programs in any UNIX workstation after obtaining the computer simulation data. We appreciate your interest in the VRML files in this CD-R.
